Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Administrator for a client based in Camelford on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To act as the administrator for the technical department ensuring that relevant data and files are accessible and that information is circulated in reports as and when required by the business.
  • Maintain the internal audits to a schedule and ensure that audit requests are issued to the relevant internal auditors in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that all relevant technical documentation is administered through Q-Pulse and is correctly document controlled.
  • Maintain and update the site Quality Management System in line with the requirements of the Technical department.
  • To manage all customer/consumer complaints as they arise, ensuring that appropriate personnel are informed of the complaint and tasked with investigation and that the finished investigation report is then issued to the appropriate recipients.
  • To maintain the MyRentokil system for pest control ensuring this is kept up to date and completed actions are recorded as and when they are verified as completed by the Quality Managers.
  • To create, update and issue both site and group reports for the technical department to ensure that all relevant KPIs and reporting requirements are effectively communicated.
  • To support any product traces that may be required at audit or through investigations, ensuring that all documentation and electronic records under your responsibility are easily accessible and retrievable.
  • To generate purchase orders for the department as and when required.

To be considered for this Technical Administrator role, you will ideally need the following experience and attributes:

  • The role requires the individual to have worked in administrative capacity, preferably within the food industry for at least two years.
  • An understanding of the structure of Quality Management Systems and how they are administered.
  • Experience of dealing suppliers and supporting investigations into customer complaints.
  • IT literate including the use of standard Office based programs.
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of computer based systems for data recording and analysis.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Communication skills; verbal and written including presentation skills and report writing.
  • Ability to present data in an understandable manner, including presenting technical issues to non-technical personnel.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, at all levels of the organisation.
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and a Science based discipline.
  • Level 2 Food Safety
